Aldrich Resources Bhd’s Non-Independent Non-Executive Chairman Yahya Razali has resigned from the board with effect from Oct 6, citing personal commitments and health reasons.
The company said the 71-year-old director had no disagreement with the board and there were no matters arising from his resignation that needed to be brought to shareholders’ attention.
Yahya held 2.12 million ordinary shares in Aldrich Resources at the time of his resignation.
He had served as chairman of Aldrich Resources since Oct 29, 2019.
A Certified Financial Planner, Yahya holds an undergraduate degree from Southern Illinois University, obtained in 1982, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley, which he completed in 1984.
His corporate experience includes serving on the board of Orion IXL Bhd since August 2016 and previously as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Uzma Bhd, a position he held from 2014 until his retirement in November 2023.
Earlier in his career, he worked as a financial analyst with United States Leasing Corporation and subsequently held investment and management roles with the Selangor Foundation and Grand United Holdings Bhd.
