EPF Picks Up 12.2 Million Pavilion REIT Shares, Raises Stake To 13.2%

The Employees Provident Fund Board (EPF) has increased its stake in Pavilion Real Estate Investment Trust to 13.209% after acquiring an additional 12.24 million units.

In a filing, Pavilion REIT said the units were acquired on Sept 30 through Citigroup Nominees (Tempatan) Sdn Bhd on behalf of EPF.

Following the transaction, EPF’s direct interest in Pavilion REIT rose to 519.31 million units, representing 13.209% of the REIT’s total units.

Prior to the acquisition, EPF held approximately 507.07 million units.

Of its current holding, 375.75 million units are registered under Citigroup Nominees for EPF directly, while the remainder is held through several investment mandates.

These include 98.59 million units under AHAM Asset Management, 14.62 million units under ARIM, 14.50 million units under CIMB Principal, 8.80 million units under Templeton, 5.05 million units under Aberdeen and two million units under AmInvest.

The notice of the change in substantial unitholding was dated Oct 1 and received by Pavilion REIT on Oct 5.
