Johor recorded eight unhealthy Air Pollutant Index (API) readings as of 9:13 am today, with Batu Pahat registering the highest reading nationwide at 190, according to the Department of Environment’s Air Pollutant Index Management System (APIMS).
Kluang recorded an API of 170, followed by Segamat at 167, Larkin at 166, Pasir Gudang at 165, Tangkak at 164, Kota Tinggi at 155 and Pengerang at 154.
Negeri Sembilan recorded two unhealthy readings, with Nilai at 162 and Seremban at 158, while Melaka recorded three at Bandaraya Melaka (156), Bukit Rambai (139) and Alor Gajah (112).
In Pahang, Balok Baru Kuantan recorded 153, Rompin 152, Indera Mahkota Kuantan 151 and Jerantut 106.
Putrajaya recorded an API of 153, while Kuala Lumpur saw unhealthy readings at Cheras (147) and Batu Muda (134).
Two stations in Terengganu also entered the unhealthy range, with Kemaman recording 147 and Paka 119.
The APIMS dashboard showed 22 of 68 monitoring stations in the unhealthy category, defined as API readings between 101 and 200. A further 41 stations were classified as moderate and five as good.
