Budget 2027 is expected to strengthen Malaysia’s economy, ease the cost-of-living burden and safeguard national security and stability, several Cabinet ministers said ahead of its tabling today.
Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said the budget was expected to continue the MADANI Government’s efforts to broaden economic prosperity and prioritise public wellbeing.
In a post on X, he cited Malaysia’s 5.7% economic growth in the first half of 2026 as evidence of the economy’s resilience despite global uncertainties.
Saifuddin said the Home Ministry would continue to focus on maintaining peace, security and stability, including strengthening enforcement agencies and safeguarding the welfare of personnel responsible for public safety.
National Unity Minister Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang and Digital Minister Gobind Singh Deo also stressed the importance of forward-looking budget planning to support the country’s long-term development.
In separate posts on X, they said Budget 2027 should be guided by public needs and Malaysia’s aspirations, with an emphasis on strengthening the economy and improving the wellbeing of the people.
