Ogilvy Appoints new Creative Group Head

Ogilvy and Mather Malaysia is strengthening its creative team with the appointment of Jingwei Wong as Creative Group Head, who will report to Gavin Simpson, the Chief Creative Officer. Following the appointment, Wong will lead Ogilvy’s signature Coca-Cola output while there will be a myriad other cross brand and function opportunities in the agency.

Having started his advertising career in JWT Kuala Lumpur as a junior copywriter, he expanded his abilities and experience by working on diverse accounts including HSBC, Kit Kat, Shell, Twisties, Wonda Coffee, Frico, OCBC, Maxis, Lazada and more.

David Mato, CEO of Ogilvy Malaysia says: “Wong brings a thoroughly modern mix of creative skills to our agency as part of our next chapter at Ogilvy Malaysia and he will work cross-functionally with our digital, social and content teams from his base at the centre of our new agency model.”
