JA Malaysia’s 30 years of Young Enterprise

Junior Achievement (JA) Malaysia celebrates 30 years of Young Enterprise (YE) Central Region chapter alongside its grand achievement of 100 years of Junior Achievement Worldwide with its annual sales fair at Paradigm Mall Kelana Jaya.

Chairman of JA Malaysia, Stuart Dean says “It’s a milestone for a local and worldwide NGO to have survived, thrived and remained relevant for such a long time, and we are pleased to share that JA is consistently looking at ways to serve the youth by modifying and revamping our programs to meet the ever-changing needs and requirements of the students”.

YB Maria Chin Abdullah, Member of Parliament Petaling Jaya, who attended the event, expresses her joy in knowing that there is a number of corporations in Malaysia that are taking the time and effort to devotedly support and execute Corporate Social Responsibility activities, especially in programs that are hands on to public schools.

The YE sales fair is the culmination of the 10-month YE program. The program will provide some 400 students from 10 schools the opportunity to promote their innovative products to the public after undergoing months of training and mentorship from JA Malaysia and corporate sponsors. The training includes business and product development activities from research and brainstorming, developing a business plan, gathering resources, designing, to manufacturing and marketing their own products.
