Vegan dishes, new range from Qatar Airways

Qatar Airways has introduced its first range of fully vegan dishes to its à la carte menu for Business Class passengers on all flights. 

The dishes solely use local fresh ingredients and are available for Business Class passengers flying from Doha hub, Hamad International Airport and selected flights into Doha.

The dishes include smoked mountable, spiral courgettes and arrabbiata sauce, tofu and spinach tortellini and Asian barbecue tofu among others. 

Special meals are also available to different pro different preferences and can be requested 24 hours prior. Those are young traveller meals, vegetarian or religious and medical meals.

At the commencement of Covid-19 crisis, the airline has implemented necessary health and safety measures onboard. As for the food preparation and service, the meals in Business Class are served on a tray and a cutlery wrap is offered to minimise the contact. 

They have also introduced single-use menu cards and sealed refreshing wipes. All social areas are also closed to apply social distancing. 

Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, Akbar Al Baker stated that the introduction of vegan main course to their menu is to offer their passengers a better experiences from a five-star airline.
