FTSE BM KLCI Rose 6.85 Points or 0.45% at 1,515.76

Kuala Lumpur, Jan 26  –Bursa Malaysia inched up slightly on Wednesday as investors were bargain-hunting for oversold stocks. While major bourses in the regional markets were ended mixed even as the US Federal Reserve decision on higher interest rates loomed.

** Bursa Malaysia ended higher on Wednesday, the FTSE BM KLCI up 6.85 points or  0.45% at 1,515.76 .

** The FTSE BM KLCI opened at 1,508.78 . The index fluctuated between 1,508.78 – 1,520.15.

** 618 counters are gainers,  407 counters are unchanged, while 254 counters are losers.

** Total volume of 2,362,169,900 was recorded; while Turnover of RM1,844,744,062 .

** The Top 5 Gainers : PMBTECH-WA (11.00, +0.80) ; PMBTECH (14.00, +0.72) ; PMBTECH-LA (13.82, +0.62); KESM (10.80,+0.60) ; DLADY (32.60, +0.68)

** The Top 5 Losers : RAPID (8.44, -0.40) ; FANG-2XL (11.84, -0.26) ; GENP (6.55,-0.11) ; MBSB-C43 (0.045, -0.105); HSI-HA3 (0.86, -0.085)

** The Top 5 Most Active Stocks : DNEX (0.945, +0.085) ; DNEX-CG (0.06, +0.015) ; CORAZA (0.90, +0.09) ; SMTRACK (0.18, -0.01) ; BINTAI (0.155, +0.015)

** Singapore’s Straits Times Index (STI) rose 25.51 or  +0.79% to 3,273.27 ; Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index ended slightly higher 46.29 points or 0.19% at 24,289.90;  Japan’s Nikkei 225 down  120.01 or -0.44% at 27,011.33, and Korea’s KOSPI ended lower 11.15 points or -0.41% to 2,709.24;  Shanghai’s SSE Composite Index up 22.61 points or -0.66% to 3,455.67.
