Kuala Lumpur, Apr 6 –Bursa Malaysia closed higher on Wednesday lifted by heavyweights. The CI finished off almost 8 points higher, bucked the performance of major equities markets in the region due to bargain hunting. Asian equities markets including the ASX slipped, as investors are expecting the U.S. Fed will shrink its balance sheet next month with a drastic interest rate hike to tame high inflation as treasury yields hit multi-year highs on Wednesday. Eyes are on details of the latest package of coordinated sanctions on Russia from the United States and its allies.
