Kelington Chalks In Another Contract Into Order Book With RM62 Million From China

Kelington Group Berhad via its China subsidiary has recently been awarded a contract worth RM62 million to perform gas hook up works in Shanghai, China.

The contract was awarded by the largest semiconductor foundry in China with headquarters in Shanghai and fabrication sites throughout the country. The semiconductor giant offers integrated manufacturing services down to 14 nm process technologies. Works are said to commence in June 2022 and is expected to be completed by March 2023.

CEO Ir. Raymond Gan,  said, “We are delighted to have secured yet another contract from the largest chips foundry in China. Notably, this is part of the main hook up project relating to the contract that we secured from the same customer back in May 2022. This development will enhance our market foothold in China as we continue to secure key packages from renowned players in the market, thus opening doors for more business opportunities.”

“Despite the intermittent lockdown measures in China, our operations remain intact with minimal interruptions as we prepare sufficient stocks and materials to execute our projects. We are confident in securing more related projects in the market and sustaining our positive momentum in order replenishment.”

Including this contract, Kelington has thus far clinched new orders amounting to RM762 million year-to-date. This brings its current outstanding orderbook to RM1.66 billion.
