MN Awarded with RM26.9 Mil Utilities Contract in Kulim

Underground utilities and substation engineering specialist, MN Holdings, has been awarded RM26.9 million underground utilities contract in Kulim Hi-Tech Park, Kedah.

Mutu Nusantara (the wholly-owned subsidiary of MN Hldgs) has accepted the letter of award from Pembinaan Tajri. Under the contract, Mutu Nusantara will provide horizontal directional drilling construction works for the installation of 132kV power cables and fiber optic cables to connect a multinational corporation’s high-end integrated circuit substrates
manufacturing facility to a new gas insulated substation.

The project is expected to be completed in August 2023.

Pembinaan Tajri is one of the main contractors appointed by Nur Energy to undertake the project. Nur Energy is a unit of Nur Power Sdn Bhd, the exclusive power utility firm for Kulim Hi-Tech Park.

“The contract is expected to contribute to the Company’s earnings for the financial year ending 30 June 2023 and 2024,” said Dato’ Clement Toh, Executive Director of MN Hldgs.

“Going forward, we will continue to actively participate in the tenders, while leveraging on our strong track record over the past 15 years to strengthen our presence in the power infrastructure utilities industry,” he added.

The company’s outstanding order book has risen to RM218.9 million with the latest win.
