Pizza Hut Singapore has introduced the Cheesy 7 Beyond Supreme, a plant-based version of one of its best-selling creations, the Cheesy 7 Pizza, created in collaboration with Beyond Meat.
According to the fast-food chain, this is Pizza Hut’s first plant-based meat pizza in Asia.
Beyond Meat’s plant-based Italian sausage crumble, mushrooms, capsicum, and onions are topped with a decadent mix of seven different types of cheese: Cheddar, mozzarella, Provolone, Monterey Jack, parmesan, edam, and cream cheese.
According to Pizza Hut, the dish is designed to appeal to flexitarians, meat lovers, vegetarians, and those looking to make more sustainable food choices.
The Beyond Italian Sausage Crumble is made from plant-based ingredients such as peas and rice and contains no GMOs, soy, gluten, hormones, antibiotics, or cholesterol. It was created to have a similar taste and flavour profile to ground Italian sausage.
The Cheesy 7 Beyond Supreme will only be available for a limited time, but the Beyond Supreme – the plant-based version of the Super Supreme – will be available on the menu permanently after the promotional period.
