iStore iSend has incorporated Yamato as part of its Fulfilment Partner Network (FPN) in Singapore. In an effort to ride the wave of the e-commerce boom, FPN will allow iStore iSend to increase physical operation support by working with space and manpower providers.
Through FPN, iStore iSend will be responsible for providing training and insight on their WaaS proprietary system – ODiN. Meanwhile, Yamato will be providing their space and manpower. The partnership will also allow iStore iSend to leverage Yamato logistics experience and service in the supply chain – from the first to the last mile – while the latter will be able to increase its services offerings by exploring the e-fulfilment segment in South East Asia.
“The strength of Yamato is small parcel delivery. We have 50% of market share in Japan with 70 million membership, moving more than 5 million boxes everyday. We hope to extend our presence to Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and other countries in South East Asia, by synergizing with iStore iSend who has cutting edge technology and best practice in EC business.” said Shuji Yamauchi, Managing Director of Yamato Transport (S) Pte. Since joining FPN in the first quarter of 2022, both iStore iSend and Yamato have been experiencing significant growth, with Yamato in discussion to provide more space for FPN.
