raser & Neave Holdings Bhd (F&N) posted an 11.5% increase in net profit for the third quarter ended June 30, 2026 (Q3 FY2026), despite a decline in revenue, as stronger performance from its Malaysian food and beverage (F&B) operations helped offset weaker demand in Indochina.
The consumer goods group reported profit after tax of RM96.2 million for the quarter, up from RM86.3 million a year earlier, supported by a lower tax expense.
Revenue slipped 3.8% year-on-year to RM1.20 billion from RM1.25 billion in the corresponding quarter last year.
F&N said the decline in group revenue was mainly due to weaker performance in its F&B Indochina segment, where revenue fell 18.4% amid softer market conditions and prolonged border closures.
However, the group’s diversified portfolio continued to demonstrate resilience, led by robust growth in its Malaysian operations.
Revenue from F&B Malaysia increased 8.4% year-on-year, driven by market share gains, effective commercial execution and continued strong demand across its beverage and dairy product portfolios.
The improved performance in Malaysia also lifted group operating profit, which rose 1.8% to RM139.4 million compared with RM137.0 million recorded in the same quarter last year.
Diversified Portfolio Supports Resilience
Despite challenging conditions in parts of its regional business, F&N said its diversified operating base continued to cushion the impact of softer overseas demand.
The stronger contribution from its Malaysian operations helped sustain profitability, reflecting the group’s ability to capitalise on domestic consumption and execute its commercial strategies effectively.
The higher operating profit, coupled with a lower tax charge, enabled the group to deliver double-digit earnings growth despite lower overall revenue.
F&N remains focused on strengthening its core markets while navigating ongoing macroeconomic and regional challenges affecting its Indochina operations.
