Iskandar Investment Alerts Public Of Telegram Scam Impersonating IIB Personnel

Iskandar Investment Berhad (IIB) is alerting the public of a recent scam on social media, particularly on Telegram platform. These scammers have passed themselves as official IIB communication or impersonate IIB personnel, enticing the public to participate in fake investment opportunities.

Neither IIB nor any of its subsidiaries is involved in or associated in any way with the solicitation of money or investment from members of the public. These scammers and their schemes are unrelated to IIB.

Members of the public are urged to frequently check the Amaran Scam Facebook page by Bank Negara Malaysia, as well as Cyber Crime Alert and Semak Mule by Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM) for the latest updates.

Any victims of the said scam are urged to immediately lodge reports at the National Scam Response Centre (NSRC), a command center to coordinate rapid response for online financial scams through its hotline 997 to prevent any further losses. The NSRC is a joint effort by Bank Negara Malaysia, National Anti-Financial Crime Centre, Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission, Polis Diraja Malaysia, financial institutions and the telecommunication industry to combat financial scams more quickly and effectively.
