FBM KLCI Inched Higher, Propped By Banking and Plantation Stocks

The benchmark index FBM KLCI ended the Thursday morning trading session in green as it ticked up 4.42 points or 0.30% to 1,493.22. The index was lifted by banking and plantation heavyweights.

The index was traded in the range of 1,490.54 – 1,497.24 in the morning session.

Market breadth was positive with advancer outnumbered decliners 632 to 329, while 365 counters were unchanged.

Trading volume and value were posted at 2.35 billion units and RM1.49 billion.

Top five active counters of the morning trading session were Infomina, Green Packet, Leform, MyEG, MQ Technology.

Top five advancers were Malaysian Pacific Industries, Panasonic Manufacturing, Kuala Lumpur-Kepong, Pentamaster Corp, Dutch Lady Milk Industries.

Top decliners were Nestle Malaysia, PETRONAS Dagangan, Perstima, Apex Equity.
