Bursa Malaysia ended the Tuesday morning trading session lower with the benchmark index FBM KLCI ceded 3.27 points or -0.22% at 1,471.11 as it reversed the earlier gains. Market participants remain in a cautious mode ahead of monetary policy decisions.
At 9:00 am, the index opened slightly higher at 1,476.53.
During the morning trading session, the index was traded in the range of 1,470.37 – 1,477.29.
The index was supported by energy sector which saw the energy index gained 0.33%. On the contrary, construction index down 2.03%.
Top five active counters for the morning session were ITMAX System, SNS Network Technology, AT Systemization, Advance Synergy, Velesto Energy.
Top five gainers were Kotra Industries, Fraser & Neave, Ajinomoto Malaysia, Malaysian Pacific Industries, Ornapaper.
Whilst top five decliners were PPB, Batu Kawan, Pineapple Resources, Hextar Technologies Solutions, Chin Tek Plantations.
