The Ministry of Human Resource (HRM) has announced the implementation of the Employment Relaxation Plan Foreign Workers to speed up the application process and employment approval for hiring of foreign workers in critical sectors.
Under this plan, the program will be implemented for the sector / critical sub-sectors such as manufacturing; construction; farming; agriculture; service (for restaurant only).
Employers under the five sectors/sub sectors mentioned above can submit an application for the employment of foreign workers through the platform Foreign Worker Centralized Management System (FWCMS) under Module FWe Approval is effective immediately.
HRM will process and give approval for employment applications for foreign workers in this period three (3) working days from the date the application is received. Advertising Vacancies on the MyFutureJobs Portal are strictly excluded with immediate effect.
Employers who have applied for the employment of foreign workers in the Module FWe Approval and eQuota Module before 17 January 2023 are required to re-submit a new application in the FWe Approval Module for enable the employer’s application to be considered under the Relaxation Plan Employment of Foreign Workers.
