High growth market for sustainable infrastructure techniques has resulted in unprecedented demand.
In light of this, Asia’s biggest and most important Trenchless Industry event, Trenchless Asia has been officially opened by the Minister of Natural Resources, Environment and Climate Change Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad being held from 17th to 18th May at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
Trenchless Asia has received overwhelming support in Malaysia, signifying the importance of the industry in Malaysia and Asia. The event is supported by the Ministry of Natural Resources, Environment and Climate Change, Indah Water Konsortium (IWK) and the Department of Industrial Relations (JPP).
This is the third time Trenchless Asia has been organised in Malaysia with this year’s show set to be the biggest trenchless event ever staged in Asia.
The timing also could not be better with government investment driving major underground utilities projects across the region. The exhibition space now stands at over 5,000sqm showcasing the products and services from around 150 businesses and 25 different countries.
Over the course of the two days there will be no less than four conference streams expertly curated by Dr. Dec Downey, CEO Trenchless Opportunities Ltd. Experts and thought leaders will showcase the latest innovation and techniques while also providing valuable insight into major infrastructure projects in Asia and around the world.

In 1985, Westrade Group organised the world’s first International No-Dig Conference & Exhibition in London. From that inaugural event, Westrade Group has organised the Trenchless and No-Dig events in six countries across the Middle East, Far East, Southern Africa, India and Europe.
Trenchless Asia first took place in 1995 in Singapore and has subsequently been held in Hong Kong and Shanghai. Trenchless Asia 2023 is the twelfth event in the outstanding series and for the third time will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The Trenchless events are major international gatherings for trenchless technologists to meet and discuss the latest industry developments. The Conference is presented by the International Society for Trenchless Technology (ISTT), designed to assist industry participants with an educational and interactive forum to keep abreast of the trenchless technologies and techniques.
