Construction outfit, Kerjaya Prospek Group Berhad (“Kerjaya”) announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Kerjaya Prospek (M) Sdn. Bhd. has accepted a letter of award (“LOA”) worth RM125.0 million from Sunrise Alliance Sdn. Bhd. (“SASB”), a subsidiary company of UEM Sunrise Berhad. The award is for the design and build contract works for a proposed phase 2 development project in Taman Equine, Bandar Putra Permai, Selangor Darul Ehsan (“Project”).
The project entails the design and build of two blocks of apartment, which comprise 26 storeys and 25 storeys respectively, a 3-storey commercial unit and a podium, which consists of a 6-storey car park and common area. The construction works for the project are expected to commence on 27 September 2023 for a duration of 29 months.
Kerjaya Chief Executive Officer Tee Eng Tiong said, “The LOA from SASB represents the Group’s sixth contract secured this year. Along with the recent RM24.7 million contract from Eastern & Oriental Express Sdn. Bhd, our year-to-date contract wins stand at RM1.1 billion or 91.6% of our targeted wins this year.”
“Our decades of experience in the construction industry have set a strong foundation for our continuous success in many construction contracts. Our outstanding order book has been bolstered to RM4.4 billion with the LOA from SASB, which will enhance our financial visibility for the upcoming three years,” he said.
