Leo Burnett And McCafe Malaysia Releases “Vibe Kopi Susu” Song

McCafe Malaysia, in partnership with Leo Burnett Malaysia, announced the release of “Vibe Kopi Susu”, features collaboration by legendary Saloma, rapper SonaOne and singer-actress Daiyan Trisha.

“Vibe Kopi Susu” is a modern reinterpretation of the beloved Saloma classic, Kopi Susu, reborn with a fresh and innovative twist, combining reimagined instrumentation to make it relevant to contemporary Malaysian.

SonaOne, who serves as both the co-writer and producer of the song said the inspiration was kopi susu and McCafe’s – a fusion of a rich blend of classic and modern taste.

“We wanted to create a melody that was fresh and relevant to today’s ears, while still paying tribute to the nuances of Saloma’s music,” he said.

Publicis Groupe Malaysia chief executive officer and global client leader Neil Hudspeth said as new generations emerge and preferences continue to evolve.

“One thing you can be sure of is that all Malaysians love their ‘Kopi Susu’ anytime of the day, whether it is for breakfast, tea or during a late-night snack,” he said in a statement today.

“McDonald’s, an iconic brand that lives in and often leads culture, wanted to give Malaysians the chance to reminisce about the nostalgic and iconic Malay tune from the early post-independence era.

“We are excited to launch this song together with McCafe and hope it will remind Malaysians of the go-to place for their daily quality coffee fix any day, anytime, anywhere.”
