CelcomDigi, Time Join Hands To Offer 1Gbps Internet Connectivity

CelcomDigi Berhad (CelcomDigi) and Time dotCom (Time) today (Oct 16) announced a collaboration to provide more home fibre connectivity options across the country, enabling convergence for Celcom and Digi subscribers.

With the collaboration, Celcom Digi customers can enjoy great benefits such as high-speed broadband of up to 1Gbps, high upload speeds with Time’s symmetric downlink and uplink speed offering and faster fibre installation.

CelcomDigi deputy chief executive officer Albern Murty said the collaboration with Time is a strong start for CelcomDigi to expand its connectivity footprint for more Malaysians.

“Our customers can now have affordable convergence solutions for their Internet and lifestyle needs. There will be more future initiatives to come with this partnership,” he said.

Murty added CelcomDigi will leverage on Time’s fibre broadband infrastructure to extend its fibre offerings to more Malaysians, especially those residing in condominiums and apartments.

Time executive director Datuk Zainal Amanshah said that the collaboration also made Time’s gig-speed network to be available to CelcomDigi customers.

“We believe fast Internet should be made available to as many Malaysians as possible and we continue to expand our coverage across Malaysia to that end,” Zainal said.

By leveraging on existing infrastructure, the collaboration was said to provide one-stop for total connectivity needs and enables CelcomDigi to quickly rollout Internet services in a more cost-efficient manner, in line with the country’s digital aspirations.
