Bursa Malaysia’s key benchmark index settled lower at the end of the morning trading session on Wednesday, due to mild profit-taking in selected heavyweights amid a mixed regional market performance, a dealer said.
At 12.30pm, the FBM KLCI had decreased 0.30%, or 4.34 points, to 1,459.03, from Tuesday’s close at 1,463.37.
The FBM KLCI opened 2.24 points easier at 1,461.13, and moved between 1,456.56 and 1,462.01 throughout the morning session.
In the broader market, gainers beat decliners 399 to 372, while 416 counters were unchanged, 1,177 untraded, and 10 suspended. Turnover stood at 1.94 billion units worth RM954.55 million.
