Advancecon Bags RM35.6 Million Earthworks Contract From Sime Darby Property

Advancecon Holdings Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Advancecon Infra Sdn Bhd, had secured its second earthworks contract from Sime Darby Property worth RM35.6 million recently.

The contract from Sime Darby Property (Bukit Raja) Sdn Bhd is for earthworks and auxiliary works at its township project in Bandar Bukit Raja Stage 3 in Klang, Selangor.

The construction company in civil engineering and infrastructure works will undertake the construction and completion of earthworks and auxiliary works for Phase 4A (R14) for Stage 3 of the township’s development.

The duration of the contract is slated for 18 months, commencing from the site possession in December 2023.

Advancecon group chief executive officer Datuk Phum Ang Kia said the latest contract from Sime Darby Property signifies the group’s continuing relationship as a key provider of earthworks expertise to the reputable developer’s projects across Malaysia.

“It represents our seventh contract for the different phases of Sime Darby Property’s Bandar Bukit Raja development in Selangor, and closely follows our recent earthworks contract for their industrial park development in Johor.

“We look forward to continue supporting major industry players in the construction and development sector with our industry leading expertise,” he said in a statement today.

Advancecon had in November secured a RM22.8 million earthworks contract from Sime Darby Property (Pagoh) Sdn Bhd, for the latter’s industrial park project at Bandar Universiti Pagoh, Johor.

In addition to the industrial park project in Pagoh and the Bandar Bukit Raja 2 development, Advancecon is also supporting Sime Darby’s Serenia City development project in Sepang, Selangor and SME Business Park development in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan.

The group’s ongoing projects also include earthworks and civil engineering services for infrastructure projects such as the East Coast Rail Link and West Coast Expressway.

It also undertakes earthworks for numerous property developments, as well as road, industrial and oil & gas (O&G) projects in Sarawak.

“These projects will sustain the group’s earnings for the next two to three years,” it added.
