PKNS Allocates RM2 Billion For Urban Revitalization Project In Shah Alam

The Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) is set to embark on a substantial urban revitalisation project in Shah Alam in the third quarter of the upcoming year.

The Chief Executive Officer announced that the project, estimated to cost approximately RM2 billion, will commence in the vicinity of the Light Rail Transit 3 (LRT 3) Dato Menteri station.

According to Dato’ Mahmud Abbas, the development project will feature Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) with the concept of a Smart City.

The plan includes constructing condominiums, developing PKNS Square, and enhancing several buildings in the vicinity of Section 14, Shah Alam, including the PKNS Complex and SACC Mall.

“While this project will take some time, we aim to ensure that by 2028, it will be over 90 percent complete, aligning with MBSA’s goal to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Shah Alam city,” he stated.

He made these remarks after the ‘Shah Alam Trees For Life’ program in Taman Tasik Shah Alam yesterday.

The program was officiated by Acting Mayor Datuk Bandar Shah Alam Cheremi Tarman.

Earlier, PKNS presented a donation of RM30,000 to the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) to support the success of the ‘Shah Alam Trees For Life’ program, reported Bernama.
