Bursa Higher At Midday, Tracking Upbeat Regional Markets

Bursa Malaysia finished the morning session higher on Thursday in tandem with the upbeat regional market performance, spurred by the continuous rally on Wall Street overnight. 

At 12.30pm, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) inched up 3.4 points, or 0.23% to 1,457.62 from Wednesday’s close of 1,454.22.

The KLCI opened 0.36 of a point easier at 1,453.86 and moved between 1,453.06 and 1,458.68 throughout the morning trading session.

However, on the broader market, decliners led gainers 410 to 364 while 419 counters were unchanged, 1,108 untraded and 86 others suspended.

Turnover stood at 2.4 billion units valued at RM1.18 billion, Bernama reported.
