Bursa Malaysia turned marginally higher at midday on Wednesday, supported by buying activities in utilities and consumer products and services counters.
At 12.30pm, the FBM KLCI had risen 0.04% or 0.54 point to 1,453.64, from Tuesday’s close at 1,453.10.
The benchmark index opened 0.56 point easier at 1,452.54, and moved between 1,450.17 and 1,454.51 throughout the morning session.
On the broader market, gainers led decliners 512 to 383, while 402 counters were unchanged, 931 untraded and 22 suspended.
Turnover amounted to 3.06 billion units worth RM1.41 billion, Bernama reported.
