Sunway Putra Mall is set to dazzle with its Chinese New Year extravaganza, “Dragon’s Blessing,” a vibrant celebration blending tradition, shopping delights, and community goodwill. From January 5 to February 18, 2024, the mall will be transformed into a spectacle of cultural richness and festive cheer.
At the heart of the mall’s Main Concourse, Ground Floor, a breathtaking 50-foot-long artistic dragon, symbolising blessings of prosperity and abundance, will hover, enveloped in earthly and traditional Chinese elements. The Dragon’s Blessing décor promises a visual feast, enhancing the festive spirit in central Kuala Lumpur.
Shoppers can indulge in a festive shopping spree at the Good Fortune Market located at Main Concourse (Ground Floor) and East Wing (Ground Floor and Level 2). Exclusive collections from over 100 retail outlets, including NOKO, Hush Puppies, John Harold, and more, offer a range of festive household décor, fashion, shoes, and bags to elevate Chinese New Year outfits to new heights.
Culinary enthusiasts can embark on a delectable journey with diverse dining options such as Serai, Dolly Dim Sum, Me’nate, Go Noodle House, Absolute Thai, and others, offering menus perfect for family reunions during the festive season.
Captivating performances, including traditional Lion and Dragon Dances, and Chinese Martial Arts, will grace the Main Concourse over weekends and public holidays. Shoppers can also participate in various activities, including dragon beard candy making and workshops, adding a personal touch to their celebrations.
Sunway Putra Mall introduces the “Good Fortune Shop, Spin and Win,” a digital experience that adds excitement to shopping and redemption. Shoppers spending a minimum of RM200 in two receipts can spin the virtual wheel for a chance to win prizes and vouchers worth up to RM80,000. Prizes include Dragon’s Blessing Red Packets, Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, Dragon Gold Bar from Poh Kong, Swarovski’s Infinity Bracelet, and more.
