Forest Interactive Founder Joins UN-Business Leadership Dialogue In Davos

Forest Interactive’s founder and chief executive officer Johary Mustapha joined UN Global Compact (UNGC) and represented Malaysia at an invite-only UN-Business Leadership Dialogue at the World Economic Forum (WEF) 54th Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland on Tuesday (Jan 16).

In a statement, the telecommunications platform provider said Johary was invited to the ‘UN-Business Leadership Dialogue: Forward Faster to the Summit of the Future’ based on its commitment to the Forward Faster Initiative.

The initiative that highlighted its efforts to enhance accountability and transparency, as it publicly declares its commitments and outlines the steps it will take to achieve these targets.

Johary attended a session titled ‘The Digital Shift for a Responsible Economy’, where it actively engaged in dialogues exploring innovative solutions to address pressing global challenges related to climate change, gender equality, financial stability, among others.

“Forest Interactive shared insights and and best practices, offered perspective from the tech sector in Malaysia and collaborated with industry peers to share targets that can create positive impacts on the global economy and society,” it said.

Johary said in the pursuit of sustainable future, Forest Interactive believe in the power of collaboration and meaningful dialogue.

“Our commitment to the United Nations Global Compact Forward Faster Initiative reflects its dedication to accountability, transparency and positive change.

“As we actively engage in global discussions, we aim to contribute not only to Forest Interactive’s growth but also the broader mission of building a more sustainable and inclusive world for all,” he said.

Johary added: “We look forward to actively engaging in discussions that will shape a more sustainable and inclusive future for all.”

The UN-Business Leadership Dialogue is a unique platform that plays a pivotal role in shaping the agenda for the 2024 UN Summit of the Future.

Co-hosted by UNGC assistant secretary-general and chief executive officer Sanda Ojiambo, together with UNGC Board Member CEOs, the dialogue offer leaders an opportunity to ramp up ambition and partnerships towards a sustainable future.
