Bursa Malaysia ended Wednesday’s morning session lower, with the key index approaching the 1,500 psychological mark amid a quiet market ahead of the Chinese New Year long weekend.
At 12.30pm, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) fell 1.64 points to 1,511.34 from Tuesday’s (Feb 6) close of 1,512.98.
The barometer index, which opened 0.47 of-a-point easier at 1,512.51, moved between 1,510.20 and 1,514.05 during the session.
Market breadth was negative with decliners outpacing gainers 509 to 286, while 457 counters were unchanged, 1,008 untraded and 10 others suspended, Bernama reported.
