The government has fixed airfare to East Malaysia states namely Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan at RM599 economy class one-way for the upcoming Hari Raya holidays.
Transport Minister Anthony Loke made the announcement stating that the offer will ease Malaysians commuting between the states during this festive period. This comes as in the past, there were complaints that airlines charge exorbitant airfares during festive season with many seeking to return to visit their families had to put off their plans.
As for the dates when the pricing will be determined, Loke said he will discuss with the religious department under the Prime Ministers Office to see when Aidilftri actually falls before a specific date can be given.
