Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur recently hosted its annual “Embrace Gift of Life” Buka Puasa dinner on March 21, 2023, at the Grand Johor Ballroom.
The event brought together 140 guests, including 60 children from Rumah Qaseh Ibu orphanage and children of Embrace recipients and their families.
The “Embrace Gift of Life” charity program, initiated in 1985, aims to raise funds for children suffering from congenital heart disease or severe heart ailments.
Funds collected are used for life-saving operations and post-operative treatments, making a significant impact on the lives of these children and their families.
Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur, General Manager, Daniel Kaeflein expressed gratitude for hosting the event and emphasized the hotel’s commitment to community support. The spirit of giving was evident as attendees and volunteers came together to share in the joy of giving back to the community.
The success of the event was made possible through the generous support of co-sponsors. Hop On Hop Off Bus provided transportation for the children from Rumah Qaseh Ibu orphanage, ensuring their participation.
Heavenly Star Music Academy and Yayasan Nanyang Press organized captivating musical performances featuring talented children aged 3 to 12 years old, adding to the festive atmosphere.
