MINISO Opens Barbie-Inspired IP Collection Store In Berjaya Times Square KL

Global lifestyle retailer MINISO delighted Malaysian shoppers with the grand opening of its first IP collection store at Berjaya Times Square mall in Kuala Lumpur on March 30. Embracing MINISO’s Joy Philosophy, the store offers a vibrant and immersive shopping experience, drawing inspiration from the beloved Barbie collaboration.

Spanning 200m2 and boasting over 3,000 SKUs, the new store showcases a wide array of trendy IP products, including the latest Barbie Ballet Eau de Parfum collection. Visitors can explore MINISO’s signature IP collaborations with popular franchises like Disney, Care Bears, and Pokémon, alongside an extensive range of original designs spanning toys, cosmetics, perfumes, and more.

With a design reminiscent of Barbie’s fashionista flair, the store radiates pink glamour, featuring dazzling aesthetic elements such as pink palm trees, mirrors, and a dedicated Barbie fragrance area. MINISO’s creative approach to IP collaboration shines through, creating a joyful ambiance and an unforgettable shopping experience for visitors.

During the store’s opening festivities, MINISO treated shoppers to a MINISO Fashion Week, where models clad in pink suits distributed flyers, gifts, and posed for photos.

Outside the store, a Barbie-themed pop-up with a pink photobooth attracted visitors, while lucky shoppers walked away with MINISO Barbie IP-themed goodie bags in an exciting lucky draw.

Influencers Angelloweee and Cahaya Icha added to the excitement, gracing the store’s pink carpet and posing for photos with fans.

MINISO’s expansion in Malaysia aligns with its broader global strategy, with over 1300 stores across Asia (excluding China) and plans for significant growth in overseas markets.

In 2024, MINISO aims to increase its overseas presence by 550-650 stores, extending its reach to consumers across Asia, LATAM, Europe, and North America, enriching lives with its unique offerings and Joy Philosophy.
