Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) has announced that traffic will revert to its original one-way direction on Jalan Sultan Ismail starting July 22.
In a statement released today, DBKL indicated that the change, effective at 12:01 a.m. next Monday, will affect the stretch of Jalan Sultan Ismail between the Jalan Raja Chulan and Jalan Bukit Bintang intersections.
The decision follows a trial period that began on May 1, during which the Cabinet Committee on Road Safety and Traffic Congestion conducted studies and gathered feedback.
The Cabinet Committee expressed its commitment to tackling traffic congestion issues in Kuala Lumpur and aims to stabilize traffic flow in the area with this adjustment.
