SSM Launches Their Own Corporate Information Supply Platforms

The Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) has officially launched two new corporate information platforms, SSM Search and Safedata-SSM, aimed at providing easier online access to data on business entities regulated by SSM.

SSM Chairman Ahmad Sabki Yusof announced that the platforms, which have been operational since April 1, offer customers access to 37 SSM products. These include business profiles, company profiles, financial histories, and copies of business registration certificates.

“These new platforms provide accurate and speedy information analysis that the public can access, which will help them make better business decisions,” Ahmad Sabki said during the launch of the platforms and the SSM Bizday 2024 event today.

The introduction of SSM Search and Safedata-SSM increases SSM’s information supply platforms to four, joining the SSM e-info portal launched in 2006 and MyData-SSM introduced in 2016.

Ahmad Sabki also noted that the number of information request transactions is expected to rise with these new platforms. From 2019 to July 31, 2024, more than 26.4 million information transactions were recorded via MyData-SSM and the SSM e-Info portal.

As of July 31, 2024, SSM had incorporated 1.56 million companies, registered 9.32 million businesses, and 39,783 limited liability partnerships (LLPs). Of these, 677,351 companies, 1.66 million businesses, and 35,582 LLPs remain active.

The two-day SSM Bizday 2024 event, which is being held at the Mydin Wholesale Hypermarket in Subang Jaya, is expected to draw over 600 participants. This marks the second time the event has been organized.
