SDB To Launch New Klang Valley Development In Q4 2024

Boutique property developer Selangor Dredging Berhad (SDB) is set to launch a new development in Taman Putra Perdana, Puchong, in the fourth quarter of 2024. This project aims to meet the growing demand for quality living spaces with a focus on sustainability and innovative design.

Group Managing Director Teh Lip Kim highlighted that the new development will build on the successes of current projects like 19Trees in Taman Melawati and Jia in Taman Bukit Serdang. “We aim to attract a broader audience seeking not just a home, but a lifestyle that resonates with their values,” she stated.

Teh emphasized that the strategic locations of SDB’s developments offer residents access to various amenities, providing high potential yields for investors. She noted that 100% of Jia’s units have been sold, while 93% of 19Trees units have been sold, with both projects at 60% and 72% completion, respectively.

During the company’s 63rd annual general meeting, it was revealed that SDB has total unbilled sales of RM348.86 million. The company reported a pre-tax profit of RM28.69 million and a net profit of RM24.72 million for the financial year ending March 31, 2024.

Teh also mentioned SDB’s recent accomplishments in Singapore, including the Temporary Occupation Permit for Myra, a luxury development in Potong Pasir. Additionally, 100% of One Draycott’s luxury apartments were sold by February 2024.

In the hospitality sector, Hotel Maya Kuala Lumpur recorded revenue of RM20.03 million for the year ending March 31, 2024, reflecting a strong recovery in Malaysia’s tourism sector.

Teh Lip Kim was recently recognized as the Property Woman of the Year 2023 by the International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI) Malaysian Chapter, reflecting her leadership and contributions to the industry.
