In celebration of the Year of the Wood Snake in 2025, Longines has introduced a special edition of its Conquest Heritage watch. Limited to 2,025 pieces, the timepiece features an exclusive design by renowned Chinese artist Wu Jian’an, showcasing a mystical snake clutching a Lingzhi mushroom, engraved on the case back.
The intricate emblem, titled Divine Snake Presents Treasure, reinterprets the tale of The Legend of the White Snake, combining East Asian cultural heritage with contemporary artistry. Wu’s design symbolises rebirth, wisdom, and prosperity, aligning with the snake’s significance in East Asian culture as a representation of transformation and vitality.
The Conquest Heritage Year of the Snake blends vintage 1950s aesthetics with modern watchmaking technology. Its 40mm stainless steel case is complemented by a vibrant sunray gradient red domed dial, gilt hands, and indexes, creating a striking New Year’s motif. The watch is powered by the Longines L888.5 calibre, featuring a silicon balance-spring for enhanced magnetic resistance and a 72-hour power reserve.
Celebrating its legacy, the Conquest collection—trademarked in 1954—continues to marry tradition with innovation. This special edition, complete with a black leather strap, reflects Longines’ dedication to craftsmanship and cultural fusion, making it a symbol of elegance and creativity for the festive season.
