New MoU Opens Pathway For Malaysia-Singapore Chartered Accountants

Sunway TES College Johor Bahru (JB) has been appointed as a Registered Learning Organisation (RLO) by the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA), making it the only institution outside Singapore to offer the Singapore Chartered Accountant (CA) Qualification programme.

At the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at Sunway TES College JB, both institutions pledged to enhance students’ academic and career pathways, facilitating professional recognition, industry exposure, and growth in the accounting sector.

The MoU was signed by Professor Teo Ee Sing, Managing Director of Sunway TES College JB, and Fann Kor, CEO of ISCA Singapore, with Krishna Selvarajoo, Head of Academics & Operations at Sunway TES College JB, and Tan Wei Luo, Qualification, Market and Growth Divisional Director at ISCA, as witnesses.

“This MoU marks a significant step in strengthening our collaboration with ISCA Singapore, providing our students with greater professional recognition and career opportunities in the region,” said Professor Teo Ee Sing.

The partnership grants Sunway TES College JB students a direct pathway to ISCA membership and the Singapore CA qualification. It also offers industry exposure through training, workshops, and networking opportunities, while aligning the college’s curriculum with ISCA’s standards.

Additionally, the agreement expands internship and career opportunities in Singapore, reinforcing accounting education through research and knowledge-sharing between both institutions.

With this strategic collaboration, Sunway TES College JB strengthens its position in professional accounting education, ensuring its graduates are well-equipped for the global workforce.
