KLCC Real Estate Investment Trust (KLCC REIT) has appointed corporate leader and former KPMG Malaysia Managing Partner Datuk Johan Idris as an Independent Non-Executive Director, effective Aug 1, 2026.
Johan, 60, currently serves as Non-Executive Chairman of KPMG Malaysia and is also Chairman of Maxis Berhad, in addition to chairing Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM).
His other current appointments include serving as a University Senate Member and Board of Trustees member of the International Centre for Education in Islamic Finance as well as Board Member and Chairman of the Audit Committee of the Capital Market Compensation Fund Corporation.
Johan previously led KPMG Malaysia as Managing Partner and Country Senior Partner from January 2014 to December 2024, following earlier roles as Head of Audit and Audit Partner.
He holds a degree in Accounting from Universiti Putra Malaysia and is a Professor of Practice in Islamic Finance at INCEIF University.
Professionally, he is a Fellow Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, a Senior Member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants and a Council Member of the Malaysia Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
