Bursa Malaysia eased at the midday break on Monday, with the benchmark FBM KLCI slipping 2.72 points to 1,496.68, weighed down by broad-based selling across key indices.
The index traded between 1,502.08 and 1,495.99 in the morning session, down 0.18%.
The broader market also saw declines, with the FBM 70 down 50.23 points to 15,563.40 and the FBM Emas shedding 28.60 points to 11,092.90. The FBM ACE lost 25.04 points to 10,885.09, while the FTSE4Good Bursa Malaysia Index (F4GBM) dipped 2.33 points to 894.30.
Among the most active counters, INGENIEU was unchanged at 4 sen with 85.4 million shares traded, while NEXG rose 1 sen to 33 sen on volume of 25.3 million shares. SUMI stayed flat at 18.5 sen, and VELESTO slipped 1 sen to 15 sen. TANCO also eased 1 sen to 88 sen.
Trading momentum is expected to stay cautious in the afternoon session as investors weigh global economic cues.
