I-Berhad Powers Up i-City With RM10 Million AI Overhaul

I-Berhad has announced a RM10 million commitment to embed artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics infrastructure across its portfolio of income-generating assets in i-City, marking the start of a four-year technology roadmap set for completion by 2028.

The initiative will begin with AI system enhancements at Mercu Maybank, the 33-storey tower serving as Maybank’s alternate head office. It will then be extended to key assets including the DoubleTree by Hilton i-City, Central i-City Mall, residential developments, a tier-3 data centre and the City of Digital Lights theme park.

The group aims to optimise operational efficiency, tenant responsiveness and service delivery using robotics-assisted systems, predictive maintenance and visitor flow management tools. These intelligent upgrades are intended to enhance leasing competitiveness and improve recurring yields from its completed RM10 billion gross development value (GDV) in i-City.

The i-City SuperApp will serve as the core platform for deploying Robotics-as-a-Service (RaaS), with plans to offer tenants access to shared infrastructure for operational optimisation.

I-Berhad is currently in discussions with global AI and robotics players including Unitree, DeepSeek and Baidu, as it positions i-City as a scalable AI-powered urban development.
