Bursa Opens Firmer As KLCI Climbs, Broader Market Follows

Bursa Malaysia opened on a positive note this morning, with the benchmark FBM KLCI rising 5.73 points or 0.37% to 1,533.89 as at 9.01 am, tracking improved sentiment across regional markets.

Gains were seen across the board, with the FBM 70 advancing 149.16 points to 16,419.82 (+0.92%), while the broader FBM Emas gained 55.59 points to 11,454.39 (+0.49%). The FBM Shariah Index also rose 70.82 points to 11,411.95 (+0.62%), and the F4GBM improved 4.58 points to 926.74 (+0.50%).

In early trade, the most active stock was EAH, unchanged at 0.005 with 3 million shares traded. Nexgram held steady at 0.015 with 4.3 million shares changing hands, while NEXG edged up 0.005 sen to 0.365. Astro also gained 0.005 sen to 0.150, and Bumi Armada traded flat at 0.450.

Investor interest appeared broad-based, with early momentum pointing to a positive start for the final trading day of June.
