168 Park Selayang Delivers VP Early, Turnaround For Previously Abandoned Project

The 168 Park Selayang has delivered vacant possession (VP) for Block A (Lush Residence) nine months ahead of schedule, a remarkable turnaround for the previously abandoned Selayang Star City project.

Originally targeted for completion in February 2026, the 477-unit serviced apartment block was successfully handed over on July 1, 2025, achieving a 100% take-up rate. The early handover, a landmark achievement for Malaysia’s property sector, signals renewed confidence in the development and showcases a successful revival of a once-stalled project.

The project, which was taken over via High Court order in early 2022, has since become a national case study for urban rehabilitation, closely watched by the Ministry of Housing and Local Government. It now boasts a 70% overall take-up rate across phases, with strong support from the local community as 50% of buyers are Selayang residents.

With prior phases successfully delivered, including Block C in August 2024 and the mall in December 2024, attention now turns to Block B, a 49-storey smart home tower set to be the tallest residential building in Selayang. Completion is slated for October 2026, with strong sales momentum underway.
