Pakistan PM, Chief Of Army Arrive In Switzerland For US-Iran Talks

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir arrived in Switzerland to participate in talks related to ongoing U.S. and Iran negotiations, local media reported.

Earlier today it was reported that US Vice President JD Vance arrived in Switzerland to begin what he described as likely several days of peace talks with Iranian officials, marking a high-stakes diplomatic push aimed at easing tensions between Washington and Tehran.

According to Reuters, Vance and his wife touched down at Emmen Air Base at 5:59 a.m. local time (0359 GMT), according to a vice presidential spokesperson, as preparations got underway for discussions expected to focus on de-escalation and broader regional stability.

The talks come amid heightened geopolitical strain and follow renewed international efforts to create a diplomatic channel between the two sides, with Switzerland once again serving as a neutral venue for sensitive negotiations.
