Classita Holdings Berhad has announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Caely (M) Sdn Bhd, has filed a lawsuit against Koperasi Peserta-Peserta Felcra Malaysia Berhad to recover a total of RM9,469,297.33 in outstanding payments.
The suit, filed with the High Court of Malaya at Ipoh, is in relation to a housing project completed by Caely (M) Sdn Bhd in October 2022. The project, known as Kampung Tersusun Generasi Kedua FELCRA Berhad Seberang Perak, was awarded to the subsidiary on February 15, 2013, with a total contract sum of RM69,041,690.
According to the statement of claim, the outstanding amount of RM9,469,297.33 was due and owing by the defendant as of July 5, 2023. This sum includes an outstanding payment of RM301,996 for the construction of a sample house and a remaining amount of RM9,167,301.33.
The lawsuit follows a Notice of Demand issued by Caely (M) Sdn Bhd’s lawyers on June 23, 2025, which the defendant allegedly failed to respond to.
Classita’s Board of Directors has stated that the legal action is not expected to have any significant financial or operational impact on the Group, other than the legal expenses incurred. The company does not anticipate any losses from the suit
