Cashku, Malaysia’s first end-to-end digital financial planning platform, has raised RM10 million in a strategic investment round to scale its services nationwide. The funding was led by notable investors including Tunku Zain Al-‘Abidin Tuanku Muhriz, former Securities Commission chairman Datuk Ali Abdul Kadir, 1337 Ventures and UK-based private equity professionals.
The investment will enable Cashku to enhance its unified platform, allowing Malaysians to consolidate unit trust portfolios, managed funds and retirement plans. The platform combines digital advisory, goal-setting and execution into a single experience, addressing a gap in Malaysia’s financial planning landscape.
Co-founder and CEO Raevendren Ramachandran said the funding strengthens Cashku’s mission to make financial planning accessible to all Malaysians, regardless of income or financial literacy. The company aims to expand outreach, improve technology and build an advisor-led platform for financial empowerment.
The move comes amid growing momentum in the digital wealth sector globally, highlighted by MUFG’s recent US$660 million acquisition of Japan’s robo-advisory platform Wealthnavi, which managed approximately US$8.7 billion in assets. Cashku plans to leverage the investment to deepen product capabilities, forge strategic partnerships and prepare for a Series A funding round, furthering its goal of supporting Malaysians on their path to financial freedom.
