Malaysia Secures RM205.83 Million Sales At INDEX Saudi Arabia 2025

Malaysia’s furniture and interior design sector recorded RM205.83 million in sales at INDEX Saudi Arabia 2025, surpassing its RM200 million target despite global trade uncertainties and geopolitical tensions.

Held from September 9 to 11 at the Riyadh Front Exhibition & Conference Centre, the event generated RM14.6 million in immediate sales and RM191.2 million in potential sales. Malaysian companies also received 721 trade inquiries, signalling strong demand from Saudi Arabia.

Director of the Lifestyle & Sciences Section and head of the Malaysian delegation, Khairul Nizam Moonier said, “Our participation at INDEX Saudi Arabia 2025 has been a resounding success. This is our second year at the exhibition, and the results clearly demonstrate its effectiveness in connecting Malaysian companies with key players in Saudi Arabia’s interior and furniture sector. Our strategic location at the entrance of Hall 1 significantly boosted our visibility and attracted high-quality visitors.”

The Malaysia Pavilion featured 14 companies, with six exhibiting directly under MATRADE, supported by CTCS Worldwide Sdn Bhd and the Malaysian Furniture Exporter, Manufacturer & Designer Association (MEDA), which represented an additional eight companies.

Malaysia’s furniture exports to Saudi Arabia reached RM119.7 million in the first seven months of 2025, up 16.6% from the same period last year. The growing demand is aligned with Saudi Arabia’s economic transformation under Vision 2030 and preparations for the 2034 FIFA World Cup.

Trade Commissioner of MATRADE Jeddah, Yazrin Syakhairi Mahlan said, ““”The participating companies were extremely pleased with the quality of the event. Amid challenges from recent US tariff announcements and the current geopolitical situation, participating in INDEX Saudi Arabia was the right choice.”

Yazrin concluded, “We look forward to building on this momentum and further strengthening trade relations with our partners in the Middle East.”
