Minister of Foreign Affairs Datuk Seri Utama Haji Mohamad bin Haji Hasan held a bilateral meeting with United Nations Secretary-General Mr Antonio Guterres.
During the meeting, the Foreign Minister presented a letter of invitation from the Prime Minister to the UN Secretary-General, inviting him to the upcoming ASEAN-UN Summit in Kuala Lumpur on October 27, 2025.
In conjunction with the Summit, the Foreign Minister also announced that Malaysia will host a UN80 Commemorative Event to mark the milestone. This event highlights Malaysia’s commitment to strengthening ties with the United Nations and the ASEAN community.
