Oasis Harvest Corporation Berhad announced that it has secured overwhelming shareholder approval for its proposed acquisition of Metta Food & Lifestyle Sdn Bhd the operator behind the De.Wan 1958 by Chef Wan and Café Chef Wan brands.
At an extraordinary general meeting held today, the company said more than 99.99% of shareholders voted in favour of the RM30.8 million cash acquisition, which also includes a two-year profit guarantee of RM5.6 million.
Founded by Malaysia’s celebrated culinary icon Datuk Dr. Redzuawan Ismail (Chef Wan) and entrepreneur Mr. Andre Shum, the De.Wan 1958 and Café Chef Wan brands have become synonymous with authentic Malaysian gastronomy and modern lifestyle dining. Both brands have earned recognition from the Michelin Bib Gourmand for three consecutive years — 2022, 2023, and 2024 — further cementing their position as premium dining destinations.
Following the completion of the deal, Oasis plans to integrate Metta’s central kitchen and operational infrastructure with its existing F&B brands — including Uncle Don’s and Verona Trattoria — to boost scale, streamline supply chains, and enhance overall efficiency.
