Scoot Expands Southeast Asia Network With Four New Indonesian Routes

Scoot, the low-cost subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, will progressively launch flights to Labuan Bajo, Medan, Palembang and Semarang from December 2025, strengthening its presence in Indonesia and offering travellers more options for leisure and cultural trips.

Labuan Bajo, the gateway to Komodo National Park and known for its pristine beaches and vibrant marine life, will see two weekly flights from December 21, 2025, on the Embraer E190-E2 aircraft. Semarang, Central Java’s capital rich in Dutch colonial heritage, will receive three weekly flights from December 23, 2025, increasing to four weekly from January 1, 2026, using the Airbus A320 family.

Palembang, South Sumatra’s historic capital with notable cultural landmarks, will be served four times weekly from January 15, 2026, on the Embraer E190-E2. Medan, North Sumatra’s bustling metropolis and access point to Lake Toba, will have daily flights from February 1, 2026, on the Airbus A320 family.

With connections via Singapore, one-way Economy Class fares start from RM369 to Labuan Bajo, RM239 to Medan, RM299 to Palembang and RM269 to Semarang, inclusive of taxes. Tickets are available via Scoot’s website, mobile application and other sales channels.

In addition to the new destinations, Scoot will increase flight frequencies to key cities in the region. From October 2025, services to Bangkok will rise from 39 to 42 weekly flights and Koh Samui to 28 weekly. From November 2025, Jakarta flights will operate 28 times weekly, Manado six times weekly, and Penang 28 times weekly.

From January 2026, Bali flights will increase from 21 to 28 weekly, Surabaya from 10 to 12, and Yogyakarta from seven to 10. Kota Kinabalu and Kuching flights will each increase from seven to 10 weekly from February 2026, while services to Vientiane will rise from five to seven weekly from December 2025.

By February 2026, Scoot will operate over 120 weekly flights to 15 Indonesian cities and expand its network to 83 destinations across 18 countries and territories in the Asia Pacific, Middle East and Europe.
